Singing legend Lata Mangeshkar's mortal remains, draped in the national flag, were taken in a truck from her residence in south Mumbai to Shivaji Park in Dadar on Sunday evening for the funeral. A large number of people also thronged the roads from where the cortege passed as the 92-year-old melody queen embarked on her final journey. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar left for her heavenly abode on Sunday morning at the age of 92. After her death, Dr Pratit Samdani, who was treating the singer at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, issued a statement. Anupam Kher, Ashutosh Gowariker, Javed Akhtar, Anil Desai, Sachin Tendulkar and a lot of celebrities have reached Lataji's residence at Prabhakunj to pay last respects.
