Officials speak
I welcome MiD DAY and personally participated on Day 1 of the campaign. My strict instructions for the road engineers were that the promises should be kept 100 per cent and I am happy that the joint venture between MiD DAY and PMC has done well. I am extremely happy about itu00a0- Mohansingh Rajpal , Mayor
Why confine the campaign to monsoon alone. It should be done throughout the year. This will help assess our efficiency through feedback. instead of criticising the civic body, MiD DAY actively participated in the campaign and it was a successful associationu00a0- Vivek Kharwadkar, Additional City Engineer (Roads)
This is the second time we associated with MiD DAY. First it was the auto campaign and then monsoon. We had made a list of 80 water-logged spots. MiD DAY had selected 22 highly-problematic areas that needed top priority. I congratulate MiD DAY for following the list and making PMC work accordinglyu00a0- Manoj Patil, DCP Traffic, Pune Police

I am a first year commerce student and use Tilak Chowk (Alaka Talkij Chowk) and Karve Road every day. It is pathetic that PMC is overlooking inundated spots that are creating problems for us. It is not at all a safe place to walk for students. MiD DAY campaign has eased out the issue to some limit -u00a0Prajakta Patole (20), Resident of Kabir Baug, Narayan Peth
It's a pity the city is full of potholes. It is really difficult for us when four-wheelers speeding past squirt muddy water on our clothes. I am happy that MiD DAY has tackled this issue by taking the PMC into confidence. Good luck to any such campaign in futureu00a0- Rashmi Charvat (19), Student, Sadashiv Peth
I sell nariyal on F C Road. It is a mess during monsoon. I saw MiD Day with PMC assessing the problem spots and some repairing work. I am happy that the spot opposite Indian Overseas Bank was cleared by PMC. I halt my cart to sell coconuts here. I hope our hardships will end after the repair worksu00a0u00a0- Shiv Dayal Kumar (18), Resident of Vadar Wadi, Off F C Road
