Koena Mitra is a fascinated by wild animals. She loves watching Animal Planet and always wanted to experience the wild from up close. During her recent trip to Africa, she got a chance to go on a jungle safari.
Koena's four-day safari experience began with the bush walk. "They took us inside the deep jungles where we could see the animals from up close. We also travelled in open jeeps where I saw the migration of 200 zebras."

Through the local guides, she learnt a lot of wild animal behaviour. She shows off, "The most dangerous are the wild buffaloes and elephants, as they are possessive of their herd, and also unpredictable. Whenever the elephants would come close, we had to cover up our jeep."
She also enjoyed a hot-air balloon ride, "It was the most spectacular view from the sky. I could see the animals moving about."
Koena also enjoyed a champagne breakfast in the middle of the jungle. "We were staying in these luxurious tents, and in the night, I could hear the sounds of elephants and hippos nearby, but since there was fire burning all around, they didn't venture near."
She concludes by saying, "I definitely want to go back. The people there were so hospitable and they made my journey memorable."
