Despite the on-going political upheaval in Kashmir, Jagmohan Mundra flew in to Srinagar for the shoot of Chase. Most film units steer clear of the region due to security issues, but the director was adamant about filming there.

Situation improving

Interestingly, the shoot arrangements were courtesy, the young CM. "I was in touch with him and in spite of the political turmoil, he told us to arrive and had all the necessary arrangements made."

Jag was keen to shoot several scenes as well as a song of Chase in J&K. "The romantic track has words like phool, pattiya, wadiyan, so what better place to film it in? I had been coordinating with the authorities for a while for the necessary permission and security."

Among the places where Chase will be shot include the Pari Mahal, Dal Lake and the Shankaracharya Temple.
The Provoked director was keen to shoot in the Valley as nowadays barely any films are shot. "I want to show the place to the Gen X who have only seen Switzerland. Despite all that is happening, the place is as beautiful as ever. Though there were plans to shoot in Manali and Kerala, I was focussed about Kashmir and I am glad the concerned authorities made it possible."

The thriller stars Anuj Saxena (who is also producing it) along with Udita Goswami and Tarina Patel (who featured in Dus Kahaaniyan). Saxena also celebrated his birthday on the sets in Srinagar on Friday.
