India's Somdev Devvarman and Treat Conrad Huey of Philippines took out the top seeded Brazilian pair Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares 6-3, 6-4 to enter the men's doubles quarter-finals of the $619,500 Farmers Classic tennis tournament.
Somdev and Huey now play Giles Muller of Luxembourg and Jamie Murray of England. The Indian had made a first round exit in the singles.
