Snow Blaze for JV Shukla Trophy

The Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) has framed an eight-race card for today. The seventh race is named after J V Shukla alias "Ashwamitra", a very fine old-school journalist who lost his battle with cancer two years ago.

The six furlong sprint will most likely be won by the Dallas Todywalla-trained Snow Blaze (C Rajendra up). The feature event, Sir Charles Forbes Trophy, may turn out to be a straight fight betweenu00a0-- St Catz & Botswana, and the latter gets my vote.
