India elite runner Ram Singh Yadav keen to better timing & qualify for London Olympics
On Sunday India elite runner Ram Singh Yadav is not as keen on winning the Mumbai Marathon as he is about bettering his timing. Yadav needs to improve on his 2010 Mumbai Marathon timing of 2:18:03 seconds if he wishes to travel to the London Games.

"I will be running this race with an intention to qualify for the London Olympics as I have been told by my coach that if I complete the race within two hours and 18 minutes I will be able to register my name for the London Olympics next year," Yadav said.
However, a hamstring injury, suffered last month, could spoil the Indian's plans. "It's not easy to run three races in four months Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and Mumbai Marathon). A marathon runner must have a break of at least four months between races, but if I don't achieve my goal of Olympic qualification at this race, I will keep running in three-four more races this year," he said.
