India shooter Heena Sidhu heaped praise on BJP for the winning the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections. Sidhu, an active member on social media, wrote: "Congratulations to @BJP4India for the performance in Gujarat and Himachal. To form a government even after 22 years is highly commendable. My best wishes to both the states. #DemocracyAlwaysWins."

The BJP secured its sixth straight victory in Gujarat on Monday with Congress giving a tough fight to the saffron party.
