Federer-Wawrinka lose, Netherlands claw back into tie Davis Cup

Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka lost 6-4, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojer on Saturday as Netherlands stayed alive in their Davis Cup World Cup play-off with Switzerland.

Federer and Wawrinka had both won their singles on Friday to give the Swiss a 2-0 lead. Rojer said: "It's fantastic. To beat Federer, even in doubles. It will remain an extraordinary experience.” On Sunday Federer will play Haase while Wawrinka takes on Thiemo de Bakker.

Bryans win, Spain sweat
Elsewhere, USA’s Bob and Mike Bryan beat Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 to make it 1-2 in the Davis Cup semi-final against defending champions Spain. Trailing 2-0 overnight, the Olympic and US Open champions secured a point meaning Sunday will decide November’s finalist.u00a0
