The NBA is forcing the family of Donald Sterling to sell the team because of racist comments he made. Sterling's wife said in a statement issued with Ballmer that she had agreed the sale. But Donald Sterling could still oppose the deal.

In April, Sterling became very unpopular after news website TMZ posted a 10-minute recording of a conversation between him and his girlfriend, Vanessa Stiviano.

The man identified as Sterling said: "It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people. I'm just saying, in your… Instagrams, you don't have to have yourself with, walking with black people."
