Rajasthan Royals, who alongwith Kingsu00a0XI Punjab were thrown out of the Indian Premier League on Sunday, are keen to strengthen their bond with English county Hampshire.

Rajasthan Royals and Hampshire were to sign a commercial deal which would include the county playing Twenty20 cricket under the Royals banner.u00a0 "We haven't signed the full agreement yet, but had reached a heads-up agreement which was mostly verbal. They are waiting for our team to be cleared of all charges," a Rajasthan Royals spokesperson said.

"Hampshire Cricket (HC)u00a0 still hope that the matter will be resolved in order that the commercial partnership may proceed. However, Hampshire Cricket will ensure, before signing any final documentation that the club emerges from the deal with a clean sheet," said HC CEO, Rod Bransgrove.
