But Sri Lankan ace spinner Muttiah Muralitharan's Indian wife, Madhi, wants the newly-wed Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni to extend his visit in the Emerald Isle after the conclusion of the three-Test rubber followed by an ODI tri-series.
Speaking exclusively from Colombo, Madhi said: "I have not yet met Dhoni's wife here (in Colombo) but will certainly meet her at Galle.
"I will congratulate the couple and personally request Dhoni to stay back."
Madhi also plans to invite the couple, if not all the members of both teams, for dinner. "I shall discuss with Murali and may plan a party," she said.
Murali who has 641 wickets in an illustrious Test career, plans to retire after the third Galle Test. But his wife Madhi has no regrets. "I am happy that now Murali will be able to spend more time at home," she said.
