The Lalit Modi camp has expressed full faith in the law of the land despite alleged reports that Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a 'Look Out Circular' against the sacked Indian Premier League (IPL) Commissioner.

Reports in the media yesterday claimed that the circular had been sent to entry points and airports in the country with photographs of Modi. There were also reports that ED wrote a letter to the regional passport office in Mumbai, seeking scrapping of Modi's passport.

"We are yet to see a copy of the complaint," Modi's lawyer, Mahmud Abdi told MiD DAY. "We understand that no case has been registered by BCCI under the prevention of Money Laundering Act. Mr Srinivasan has no mandate to file criminal cases against Mr Modi in Chennai. No authority can file criminal charges without a mandate."

"The fact is further established because the disciplinary committee order on the 14th of October 2010 categorically records that no member of the committee has been consulted or has expressed any opinion on issues which may arise in relation to the proceedings.

"We reiterate that we have complete faith in the process of law and are ready and willing to render all possible co-operation."
