Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has reiterated the club's stance that captain John Terry is not for sale.
England skipper Terry continues to be linked with a big-money move to Manchester City.

Reports have claimed City are prepared to pay u00a3200,000 per week to the 28-year-old, whose lack of public comment on the matter has fuelled the speculation. But Terry has three years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge and Kenyon is adamant he will not be leaving.

Kenyon told Sky News: "I don't know what they are offering but I'm confident John's going to stay with us.

John is a talisman. He is the heart of Chelsea, came through the Academy, is our captain and has also become England captain while he has been here. We are not going to sell him, so it's irrelevant what another club will offer. We are confident he will be leading us in the years to come."

City have dominated transfer market having already spent u00a350.5million on Gareth Barry, Roque Santa Cruz and Carlos Tevez. With a u00a325million deal for Emmanuel Adebayor in progress and their interest in Terry, City have taken over the big-spending mantle from Chelsea.

Chelsea meanwhile strengthened their financial position yesterday by agreeing a new multi-million pound sponsorship deal with current backers Samsung, who extended their partnership till 2013.
