Atul Mankad passes away

Atul Mankad, a former first-class cricketer and son of legendary Vinoo Mankad, died here yesterday. Atul, younger brother of former India player late Ashok Mankad, died after a brief illness, a PTI report said quoting sources. He was 62.



Atul represented Saurashtra in three Ranji Trophy matches and Bombay University in the Rohington Baria Trophy.u00a0 Rahul, Mankad's third son and who represented Mumbai, is based in Australia.u00a0 Atul was last seen at a cricket function when Jolly Cricketers celebrated 75 years at the Cricket Club of India on April 12.
