Arjun hits bullseye as Scottish win

BOMBAY Scottish (Mahim) continued their winning streak in the Nike-MSSA inter-school football tournament with a convincing 3-0 win over St Anne's (Orlem) in a boys U-16 Div I tie at the St Xavier's ground, Parel on Saturday

BOMBAY Scottish (Mahim) continued their winning streak in the Nike-MSSA inter-school football tournament with a convincing 3-0 win over St Anne's (Orlem) in a boys U-16 Div I tie at the St Xavier's ground, Parel on Saturday.



Strikers Arjun Meghe and Nipun Chauhan combined well, with the former helping himself to a brace while Chauhan completed the tally.

Meghe scored the opener with a stylish chip over the goalkeeper before doublingu00a0 his lead soon after.

Chauhan added the third in the second half by which time the Malad school had all but given up on the match.

St Anne's did have a few attempts at the Scottish goal but 'keeper Sagun Sanghi did well to maintain a clean sheet.

Winning two of their three games Scottish now need just one win to qualify for the play-offs.
