Dia Mirza was in her 20s when she went house hunting in Mumbai’s Bandra and found her perfect home which was surrounded by a beautiful lush garden with big trees. Dia tells mid-day.com, “This is where we live and spend so much of our time and the children go to the garden every day. Avyaan definitely does. We watch birds together, walk in the soil, and grass, and grow plants. It's everything I ever hoped for.” Dia continues to play diverse and multifaceted roles as a climate champion, and is a credible voice, speaking up for environmental and wildlife conservation in the country. World Environment Day 2024: Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira put on their gloves and dug out all the trash trapped in the sand at Mumbai’s Juhu beach, while their baby Josephine observed from afar. Rochelle’s frown and concern were visible as she pointed out the beautiful shells and the heaps of plastic around asking which of the two belonged there. “The beach is where our heart is. When I see the beach in this state, in my city, I feel like it's 100 percent my responsibility to do something about it. It's 10 minutes away from my house and it's a few hours of my time.
