This Ganpati, touted as the richest Ganpati of Mumbai has been adorned with 69 kgs of gold and 336 kgs of silver this year. The GSB seva mandal has bought an insurance of Rs 360 Crores that covers the mandal, structure, public calamities, its volunteers, and jewelry adorned by the idol. The bridges in south Mumbai will undergo two audits in a year, one before and another after the monsoon, the civic body said. The BMC will spend about Rs 5 crore on structural audits of around 98 bridges, including foot overbridges (FOBs), road overbridges (ROBs), flyovers, subways and skywalks.
