The Asia-Pacific UNESCO awards were announced in Bangkok on November 26. India boasts of 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in different parts of the country. As many as 32 of them are cultural sites, seven of them are natural and one is of the mixed criteria, which includes both natural and cultural elements.
