23 May,2024 03:00 PM ISTAAP cadres staged a ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ campaign near Laxmi Nagar in Delhi on April 27. The campaign was held against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. Notably, Delhi CM was arrested on March 21 by the ED in connection with a money laundering case in the alleged Delhi Excise policy scam. “CM Arvind Kejriwal who worked to provide the best school, and free- electricity to Delhiites has been trapped in a frivolous case by BJP...From today onwards Sunita Kejriwal's roadshow will begin; she is going to seek support and blessings from the Delhi people to fight against this government...,” said Kuldeep Kumar.
27 April,2024 03:33 PM ISTSanjay Singh was released from Delhi’s Tihar Jail on bail on April 3. The ED on April 2, informed the SC that the agency has no objection to Sanjay Singh getting bail. A bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna directed the release of Sanjay Singh . Bail was granted during pendency of trial in a money laundering case relating to excise policy irregularities. AAP workers played drums and celebrated the release of Sanjay Singh. While addressing a press conference after his release from jail he attacked BJP and said when BJP speaks about corruption it seems like Osama Bin Laden is speaking about non-violence.
