On August 26, 2024, a severe terror attack in Pakistan’s Balochistan province resulted in the deaths of at least 51 people. The attackers, who had blocked the highway the previous night, forced passengers off their vehicles and shot them after inspecting their identity cards. In addition to the vehicle attacks, they also targeted police stations and railway lines, setting 35 vehicles ablaze. It follows similar incidents, including one in April 2024 where nine passengers were killed and another in October 2023 where six laborers from Punjab were shot dead in Turbat.
