Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker accompanied him during the Yatra. Swara made some bold statements against the ruling BJP government. She alleged the ruling government of doing politics of hatred. “There is different type of politics in the ruling government, the politics of hatred. They are taking name of our Gods and committing crimes. Being a Hindu, I believe that there is no bigger sin than this. To fight against all of this, such efforts of Rahul Gandhi and Congress are very important.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan, set to hit the theatres on January 25, is facing bans and boycotts calls on social media. The root cause of it all is the colour of Deepika’s outfit in Pathaan’s song Besharam Rang. Several Hindu organisations have taken issue with Deepika wearing a sensual orange bikini in the song. Madhya Pradesh Minister, Narottam Mishra had also objected the usage of saffron color in the song. Swara Bhaskar had earlier tweeted on the news that the BJP-led government in Madhya Pradesh might consider banning the release of Pathaan in the state. She was again seen commenting on the issue today as the movie’s trailer has been out.
