On September 8, security forces successfully stopped an infiltration attempt in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir. During "Operation Kanchi," Indian troops encountered and neutralized two terrorists in the Lam area making it a major milestone. The operation was carried out after the Indian Army received information from intelligence agencies and the J&K Police about the presence of these terrorists. A significant amount of arms and ammunition was recovered from the neutralized terrorists. This successful operation highlights the effective coordination between the Indian Army, intelligence agencies, and local police in maintaining security in the region. Dussehra 2023: 171-Feet-Tall Ravana effigy to be burnt in Panchkula

Preparations are underway to burn the 171-foot tall effigy of Ravana at Shalimar ground in Haryana’s Panchkula ahead of the Dussehra celebrations on October 23. The 171-foot-tall effigy of Ravana has been built at a cost of Rs 18 lakh. It took about 3 months and around 25-30 labourers to build the effigy. Notably, Dussehra falls on October 24 this year. The festival marks the victory of good over evil.
