Amid the Lok Sabha Elections, former Congress spokesperson Radhika Khera joined the BJP on May 07. Famous actor Shekhar Suman also joined the BJP in New Delhi. They joined the BJP in the presence of General Secretary Vinod Tawde and Anil Baluni. Radhika Khera quit Congress alleging “abuse by top leadership”. Radhika Khera resigned from the party's primary membership on Sunday, days after her altercation with another leader at the party's Chhattisgarh office.
