Congress Sankalp Satyagraha
The Congress launched a day-long “Sankalp Satyagraha” in support of Rahul Gandhi at Rajghat in Delhi on Sunday. The “Sankalp Satyagraha” is being held after Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from the Lok Sabha, a day after a court in Gujarat’s Surat convicted him in a 2019 defamation case. The disqualification will bar Gandhi, a four-time MP, from contesting polls for eight years unless a higher court stays his conviction. Congress’ top leaders including president Mallilarjun Kharge, general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra among other senior leaders took part in the protest.

A major drama unfolded on Thursday at Delhi Airport in front of an IndiGo plane that a Congress delegation was about to board to reach Raipur. As Congress leader Pawan Khera was reportedly deboarded from the plane, the entire delegation started 'BJP hai hai' slogans. In the video emerging from the airport, Congress leaders Supriya Shrinate, Randeep Singh Surjewala, KC Venugopal can also be seen in the delegation. Recently, Pawan Khera was criticised for referring to Narendra Damodardas Modi as Narendra Gautamdas Modi, in a press conference attacking the government on the Gautam Adani issue.
