Prateek Yadav, the younger son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and half-brother of Akhilesh Yadav, has died suddenly in Lucknow at the age of 38. According to the postmortem report, Prateek Yadav died due to cardiorespiratory collapse caused by massive pulmonary thromboembolism. His body was taken to KGMU for autopsy under tight security and videography surveillance. Akhilesh Yadav, while mourning his half-brother’s death, hinted that business-related stress may have affected him in recent months. 

Amid the ongoing Maharashtra political crisis, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut and other political leaders have come forward to express their views on the big political move by Ajit Pawar. On 2nd July, Ajit Pawar took oath as Maharashtra’s Deputy CM joining the Eknath Shinde-led government in Maharashtra. He will be sharing the post with BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis. Ajit Pawar was rumoured to be unhappy about being denied the post of NCP’s state unit chief after Supriya Sule and Praful Patel were made the working presidents of the Nationalist Congress Party.
