The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on Friday clarified that minor cracks were found on the approach road connecting Atal Setu in Ulwe, which is not a part of the Atal setu bridge but is a service road connecting the bridge. MMRDA stated that the cracks are not due to structural defects in the project and do not pose any threat to the structure of the bridge.

Repair work is underway at Ramp 3 (Service approach road) at the Atal Setu Bridge. Yesterday, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole claimed that there are cracks on Atal Setu and inspected the bridge. However, MMRDA has rejected have responded to this allegation by claiming that the cracks are not on the actual bridge but on the approach road from Ulwe in Navi Mumbai.
