While tension has heightened in PoK, Jammu and Kashmir is celebrating world’s largest festival of democracy. Years after article 370 was abrogated, people in Kashmir queued up to exercise their franchise and be part of democratic process. Home Minister Amit Shah has said, “Modi government's decision to abrogate Article 370 is showing results”. The HM’s remarks came a day after about 38 per cent polling was recorded in the Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
