On July 15, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar praised the Republic of the Marshall Islands for successfully hosting the 10th Micronesian Games. He highlighted India's long-standing friendship with the Marshall Islands, strengthened through cooperation in the Forum of India Pacific Islands. The signing of the MoU will support four community development projects, such as a sports center, airport terminal, and community centers. These initiatives aim to improve infrastructure in the Marshall Islands, benefitting its people. The minister expressed optimism that these projects will enhance bilateral relations and contribute to the islands' socio-economic development.

US President said “xenophobia” from China, India, and Japan is stopping the economic growth of these countries. President Joe Biden made this controversial remark while advocating for the US immigration policy. He said, “Folks, this election is about freedom, America, and democracy. That’s why I badly need you. You know, one of the reasons why our economy is growing is because of you and many others. Why? Because we welcome immigrants. We look to — the reason — look, think about it. Why is China stalling so badly economically? Why is Japan having trouble? Why is Russia? Why is India? Because they’re xenophobic. They don’t want immigrants.” The remarks, from Joe Biden came after The White House hosted Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida for a State visit. Notably, The White House welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a state visit last summer. However, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre defended President Biden’s statement. She said that the President’s comments were part of a broader message emphasising the strength of America's immigrant heritage.
