Former Congress veteran Ghulam Nabi Azad fired a fresh salvo at his former party’s leadership ahead of Lok Sabha polls 2024. “The leaders who are pivotal to the party are removed. The leadership has made a wrong decision of 60 years’ threshold, this leader will also turn 60 in five years, what will happen next…” said Azad. Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Chairman also said that he plans to contest from Udhampur in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

While talking to ANI, Farooq said, “We will not stand with any another country, but at least respect us, try to win our hearts. This is why I used these words. I am clarifying”. A day after the Supreme Court upheld the abrogation of Article 370, National Conference Chief and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on December 12 said on the Article 370 Verdict, “Let Jammu and Kashmir go to hell. They (Government) made Jammu and Kashmir a hell.” In a landmark move, the Supreme Court Constitution Bench unanimously upheld the abrogation of Article 370 of J&K on Dec 11. A 5-Judge bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud pronounced the verdict and called Article 370 “Temporary Provision”.
