The 11-day Ganeshotsav celebrations kicked off in the state of Maharashtra. This is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in the state. Devotees were seen taking Ganpati idols home with huge enthusiasm. The area of Lalbaug in Mumbai is seeing an influx of devotees visiting to catch the glimpse of Ganpati Bappa in the famed pandals of the area. The area is lined up with famous Ganpati pandals like Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbaicha Raja and Chinchpokli Chintamani. Uddhav Thackerey attended the first aarti of Lalbaugcha Raja with his family. Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan was also seen visiting the pandal and worshipping Lalbaugcha Raja in the morning hours. Security is tight and robust arrangements have been done to manage the sea of crowds that gather in the Lalbaug area during the 11-day festival. The first look of Mumbai’s most iconic Ganpati - Lalbaug Cha Raja has been revealed. Lalbaug Cha Raja stands as one of the most famous Ganpati pandals in Mumbai. This is the 91st year of this iconic pandal to hold the Ganeshotsav. The mandapan pooja of the mandal was held at Lalbaug Market on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. This year Anant Ambani has been named as honorary member of the executive committee of Lalbaug Cha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal in Mumbai. Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal was founded in 1934 at the Lalbaug market. The mandal was founded by a group of local fishermen and traders to celebrate the Ganesh Chaturthi 2024.
