After Farooq Abdullah’s ‘Let J&K go to hell’ remark sparked furore, the National Conference chief issued a clarification. While talking to ANI, Farooq said, “We will not stand with any another country, but at least respect us, try to win our hearts. This is why I used these words. I am clarifying”. A day after the Supreme Court upheld the abrogation of Article 370, National Conference Chief and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on December 12 said on the Article 370 Verdict, “Let Jammu and Kashmir go to hell. They (Government) made Jammu and Kashmir a hell.” In a landmark move, the Supreme Court Constitution Bench unanimously upheld the abrogation of Article 370 of J&K on Dec 11. A 5-Judge bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud pronounced the verdict and called Article 370 “Temporary Provision”.

They (Government) made Jammu and Kashmir a hell.” In a landmark move, the Supreme Court Constitution Bench unanimously upheld the abrogation of Article 370 of J&K on Dec 11. A 5-Judge bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud pronounced the verdict and called Article 370 “Temporary Provision”. The Apex Court has directed ECI to conduct elections to the Legislative Assembly of J&K by Sept 2024. PM Modi in a tweet, welcomed the verdict terming it historic, a beacon of hope and a promise of a brighter future.
