Days after the flooding of the Mumbai Metro Line 3 at the Acharya Atre Chowk station, MMRC has issued a clarification. Just 16 days after opening to the public, the Acharya Atre Chowk station saw significant waterlogging on May 26th. In widely shared social media videos, the metro station was seen flooded prompting authorities to halt train services between Worli and Acharya Atre Chowk as a safety measure. Social media erupted with criticism, questioning the resilience of the newly launched metro line and is it is safe enough to travel during rain. MMRC Managing Director Ashwini Bhide has issued a clarification on the same.
