25 December,2021 10:50 PM ISTThe warship INS Kochi arrived in Mumbai on 19th May with 125 workmen rescued from barge P305, an accommodation barge that sank amid the Cyclone Tauktae fury. Of the 273 people on the ill-fated barge, 184 have been rescued so far by the Indian Navy. Watch this video to see INS Kochi bring back 125 rescuees to Mumbai.
19 May,2021 12:00 AM IST | MumbaiCyclone Tauktae majorly impacted the city of Mumbai, and people on social media have been sharing videos and pictures, asking everyone to stay safe and indoors. Cyclone Tauktae wreaked havoc in the maximum city, and Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s under-construction residence at Pali Hill also faced the wrath of the cyclone, after a tree fell outside the complex.
18 May,2021 12:00 AM IST | MumbaiGusty winds along with very heavy rainfall hit Mumbai on May 17 due to the extremely severe cyclonic storm Tauktae, which has barrelled towards Gujarat. As a result, more than 600 trees collapsed across the city, mostly in the South and Western suburbs. Many parts of Mumbai and its neighbouring districts faced severe waterlogging. According to officials, two people were killed in neighbouring Palghar, one person died in Thane, and four people reportedly died in Raigad district in separate incidents related to the cyclonic storm.
