At the Bitcoin2025 Conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday, US Vice President JD Vance said the Trump administration strongly supports cryptocurrency. He told the audience that President Trump stands with the crypto community and is working to undo rules made under President Biden that he believes harmed the industry. “With President Trump, crypto finally has a friend in the White House,” Vance said. He said the administration is focused on cutting regulations and stopping what he called unfair treatment of crypto. “We’re removing the red tape and legal attacks used against crypto by the previous administration,” he said. Vance also said the administration fired SEC Chair Gary Gensler and plans to replace other officials they see as anti-crypto.
