Atal Bihari Vajpayee Death Anniversary: PM Modi, Prez Murmu pay tribute - Watch

On August 16, 2024, India observed the sixth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On Atal Bihari Vajpayee's death anniversary, President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar paid floral tributes at the 'Sadaiv Atal' memorial in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited the memorial to honor Vajpayee, alongside Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Vajpayee, born in Gwalior in 1924, was a towering figure in Indian politics and the face of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for decades. He made history as the first non-Congress Prime Minister to complete a full term in office. His leadership and vision left a lasting impact on the nation. Vajpayee passed away on August 16, 2018, after a prolonged illness, and his contributions continue to be remembered with respect and admiration.

PM Modi pats Annamalai’s back just like Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised BJP Chief Annamalai for his initiative En Mann En Makkal Yatra. He attended the last leg of the ‘En Mann En Makkal Yatra’ in Tamil Nadu. The Prime Minister publically showed his love and appreciation towards Tamil Nadu’s BJP Chief K Annamalai. PM Modi gave a pat on his back after the former concluded his speech. However, this is not the first time when a Karyakarta has received applause from a top BJP leader for his performance.
