Despite a three-way clash with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, the horror-comedy, Stree 2, earned about Rs 53 crore on its first day. In terms of Bollywood’s biggest openers, Stree 2 now sits in third place, after Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan. To celebrate this significant milestone, the team of the film Stree 2 hosted a success bash last night. The celebrations saw many stars in attendance, including Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Veer Pahariya, and others. 'Stree 2' cast including Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshaki Khurana recently visited a mall in Gurgaon to promote their horror-comedy. The four were clearly taken away by the outpouring of love they received from the locals. Rajkummar, a Gurgaon boy himself, expressed his joy at being in the city and promoting the film there. He promised that Stree 2 is much bigger and better than Stree 2 and guruanteed that the audience will have fun watching it. Shraddha Kapoor also shared the enthusiasm and said that she will take back Gurgaon's energy to Mumbai. The film was released in theatres on August 15.

John Abraham recently lost his cool at the Vedaa trailer launch after being told his films are repetitive. He asked people not to judge the movie just by its trailer. Vedaa is an action-thriller directed by Nikkhil Advani, featuring Sharvari as the titular character fighting against oppression and Abhishek Banerjee as the antagonist. The movie also includes cameo appearances by Tamannaah Bhatia and Mouni Roy and is set to release on 15th August.
