On September 2, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan alleged that Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials arrived at his New Delhi residence with the intent to arrest him. In response, Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj criticized the central government, pointing out that the case in question dates back to 2016 and has been extensively investigated by various agencies, including the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), without uncovering any evidence of financial wrongdoing. Bharadwaj accused the central government of using these investigations to create a political advantage as elections approach. Meanwhile, Khan's cousin, Minnatullah Khan, highlighted that his mother-in-law, a cancer patient, recently underwent surgery, and expressed concern over the continued investigations despite the lack of substantive findings.

Speaking to ANI on July 28, Maliwal called for an FIR against senior government officials and demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of those who have died. She expressed frustration that no Delhi government minister, mayor, or official has yet visited the site. Maliwal described the deaths as "murder" rather than a disaster and vowed to raise the issue in Parliament. Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal has been granted bail in the Delhi excise policy case. AAP legal team said on Arvind Kejriwal bail, “Today, in excise policy scam, Arvind Kejriwal was granted by Rouse Avenue court. He was granted bail on a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh...by tomorrow afternoon, Arvind Kejriwal will come out of jail. This is a big win for AAP leaders, country and people...” Notably, Vacation judge Nyay Bindu granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal on furnishing bail bond of Rs one lakh. The court refused the request of ED to postpone the process of filing a bail bond for 48 hours. AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Dilip Pandey and Advocate of AAP legal team Rishikesh Kumar seemed ecstatic over the news of their leader’s release. Speaking to ANI, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said, “...Arvind Kejriwal coming out of jail at such a time is going to strengthen democracy. This is good news for the people of Delhi...ED’s statements till now were based on lies...this is a baseless fake case formed to trap Kejriwal...”
