Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate first traditional Hindu Mandir in UAE and the largest in the West Asia on February 14. Made with 1,800,000 bricks and 689,512 man-hours, 40,000 cubic feet of marble, 180,000 cubic feet of sandstone have been used in the temple. The cost of 108-foot-tall is estimated to be approximately million 440 Dirham. Foundation stone for the temple was laid by PM Modi in 2017. Built on 27 acres of land, the colossal structure can accommodate up to 10,000 people. The temple draws its inspiration from ‘lotus in the desert’. The temple boasts seven spires, each representing an emirate in UAE.

While addressing the Indian community at the inauguration event of the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14 during PM Modi UAE visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked UAE President for his government’s cooperation for the construction of temple. PM Modi further asked standing ovation for the personal contribution of UAE President to the construction of temple. At the inauguration of BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, PM Modi said, “UAE has written a golden chapter. The inauguration of the temple has years of hard work and dreams of many are connected with the temple. Swaminarayan's blessings are also connected…I request all of you to give a standing ovation to the President of UAE.”
