In a shocking incident captured on video, a Dalit woman and her minor kin were brutally assaulted at the GRP Police Station in Katni, Madhya Pradesh, sparking widespread outrage. The October 2023 footage shows a woman in civilian clothes mercilessly beating the woman with a stick, while uniformed police officers later join in. The video shows the woman's teenage kin being restrained and severely beaten by four policemen. The brutal scene has led to significant public outcry. In response, the station in-charge has been transferred, and a DIG-level officer has been assigned to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident. 29 August,2024 06:10 PM ISTA bus, carrying polling personnel, from Goula Village in the Multai assembly constituency of Betul Lok Sabha Elections, burst into flames while returning from Goula Village in the Multai assembly constituency of Betul Lok Sabha constituency last night. The polling personnel jumped off the bus and were safe. However, four EVMs suffered damage to their parts. This tragic incident took place on 7th May at around 11 pm. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and secure the remaining EVMs. It is believed that a spark in the bus caused the fire.
