The 65-page civil lawsuit was filed on Friday at the US District Court in Washington, D.C.

“The horrific events of January 6 were a direct and foreseeable consequence of the Defendants’ unlawful actions,” the complaint states. “As such, the Defendants are responsible for the injury and destruction that followed.”
It’s the second lawsuit from a sitting member of Congress accusing Trump of inciting the riot. House Homeland Security Committee had filed a suit against Trump last month.
