15 tonnes of waste collected from UAE seabed

More than 15 tonnes of waste have been collected in a campaign to clean the seabed off a number of ports in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The campaign "Dive together to clean our Capital Ports" was launched April 28-29 by the Abu Dhabi Terminals.u00a0More than 150 professional divers and 120 volunteers took part in the campaign at the Mina Zayed, the Free Port, New Free Port and Musaffah Port.u00a0The waste - including plastics, glass bottles and iron pieces - has been taken by Waste Management Centre in Abu Dhabi.
