Trace missing persons: Karnataka HC

The High Court has directed the city police commissioner to depute able officers to trace missing persons.

This happened when SM Bidri appeared before the Divisional bench to explain the measures taken up to trace a missing girl from Indiranagar.

The court has also asked the city police chief to consider the missing persons cases seriously and provide respite to the affected families.

The HC has summoned the city police commissioner and the Director General and Inspector General of Police to appear in person to explain why action has not been taken to trace a missing girl.

The parents of Second PU girl, who went missing two months ago, had approached the court alleging police inaction in tracing their daughter despite providing information about her whereabouts.
