Rock 'n' Roll to scribe this october

Rock to the sounds of Mumbai-based band scribe and Delhi-based band october at one lounge Two desi Rock bands are create magic at the Pubrockest 2010 this weekend. The show will see two rock bands -- Scribe and October -- vie for the affections of capricious music lovers. Scribe, a hardcore metal band comprising of Vishvesh Krishnamorrthy (vocals), Akshay Rajpurohit (guitar), Srinivas Sunnderajan (bass), Prashant Shah (guitar), and Virendra Kaith (drums) will perform songs from their second album, titled Mark of Teja. We will present the entire album as it is our second full-length album. We have received several awards and are pretty excited to perform live in the city for the first time, said Vishvesh. He adds that alongwith the album, there will be some more surprises for their fans as well. The band is also very excited to share the experience of their first world tour to Norway.He observes that the crowds in the city as are quite mild. They are not as rocking as the crowd in Delhi or Mumbai, but are very shy people. I just hope that our music can make them wild, he adds. The other band who will perform with Scribe is October. The alternative rock band includes Amitabh Mukherjee (vocals), Shashvat Pandit (guitar), Rohan Panjiar (guitars/backing vocals), Jeffery Laloo (bass/backing vocals), and Shantanu Sudarshan (drums). The band will present songs from their yet-to-be-released album. We have worked on eight songs and will perform all of them. The album will release in December and it is our first official album, says Shashvat. He adds that they are launching the album on their own but are hopeful of getting some sponsors soon. Started when the band members were just students, they have been playing together for three years and want to make it big.
