Spread over 12 days, the forty-segment carnival will demonstrate the talents of over 2000 performers. At a special evening at the Red Fort on October 12, renowned musician Ustad Amjad Ali Khan will render his best.u00a0 Another important section that finds space under the DIAF umbrella this year is the 'Artistic Voices from India and other Commonwealth Countries'. This segment opens with a mosaic of Indian artists, Aruna Sairam (carnatic vocal), Sarathi Chatterjee (Hindustani vocal), ghazal and Sufi songs by Anita Singhvi, Unlimited Choir, and Kalakaar Trust who present folk and street arts, and a classical dance extravaganza. The famed Waleed brothers, too, will be part. On subsequent days, DIAF brings in fare from Sri Lanka, an art exhibition and a film festival around the theme of sports from Canada. Do catch 'Young Polish Print u2013 Ways of Imagination,' a Polish exhibition organised by the Embassy of Poland and to be exhibited at the quaint and aesthetic Maati Ghar in IGNCA.
