Photographers at Pune, known as P@P, was started in 2006 by six amateur photographers. Over the years, photography became a passion with several Punekars and now, the group has nearly 1,300 members.

"We use the online platform provided by flickr to share and discuss photos and also learn the finer aspects of photography," said Suhas Desale (27), a computer engineer who oversees the group's administration.

The group has a pool of 25,000 photos. On an average, 250 new photos are added in a week. "It's the dream of every photographer to display his work in an exhibition. That's the reason why we have been conducting exhibitions for the past two years," said Pankaj Zarekar (28), a software developer and moderator of the group.
Zarekar added the group is busy with its next exhibition, Drushtikon to be held at New Arts Gallery in Gole Road from today till Sunday.

To join, create a Flickr account and join: flickr.com\group\photographers@pune.
