Nasir Tariandabede (25) and Siraj Shamsudeen Shamas (33), accused in the July 25, 2008, Bangalore blasts case, were arrested by the Bangladesh Rifles on December 2. They were then handed over to the Border Security Force. The two were later brought to Bangalore for questioning.

More confessions

According to sources, Nasir has admitted to having links with the banned Al Umma Outfit of Tamil Nadu. He had actively participated in the violent protest against the arrest of Abdul Nasser Madani and confessed that he burnt a government bus. The investigating team is also trying to establish Nasir's links with the Coimbatore blasts. They have also started massive search operations in Cochin for the explosive material that Nasir has allegedly hidden.
