A five-month-old infant had a miraculous escape after falling from the window of a speeding luxury bus in Valsad district.

A five-month-old infant had a miraculous escape after falling from the window of a speeding luxury bus in Valsad district.

"Sandeep, son of Jeeva Ram Devasi and Ambu Devi, fell from the window of a speeding luxury bus travelling from Pune to Rajasthan," police officials said.

"The incident took place on NH-8 in Valsad district yesterday at around 4 pm, when the couple hailing from Rajasthan were on their way to hometown from Pune," they said.

"The infant was sleeping with his mother, when accidentally he fell from the window of the bus they were travelling in," police officials said adding Sandeep was rushed to the Kasturba district hospital. He sustained minor head injuries and was declared out of danger by the doctors, police said.

The couple resumed journey, after the boy was discharged from the district hospital, they added.
