Police say drunk 35-year-old man told them he could get them transferred

A 35-year-old man who threatened police officials saying that he will get them transferred is now cooling his heels at the Bhosari police station. The police said Sunil Gulabrao Deshmukh, a real estate agent, posing as Home Minister R R Patil's PA Mhase Patil's relative, created a ruckus at the Bhosari police station and spoke rudely with police officials, following which he was arrested on Sunday evening.

"Deshmukh was drunk and kept saying, 'Do you know who I am? I will get you transferred!'" said Police Nayak R K Dorge, adding that Deshmukh even tried to assault the police.
"I heard a ruckus outside the police station. When I went to check, I realised that Deshmukh was threatening the officials," said Crime PI Ravindra Chaudhar who was present at the police station when the incident took place. "Deshmukh was illegally occupying the room that he had allegedly taken on rent from a woman, Sharada Sutar. Since he was not paying rent, Sutar got the room vacated with the help of locals. He came to the police station in this regard."
According to officials from Bhosari police station, Deshmukh also has a criminal record. He was also taken to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial hospital for a check-up and the reports stated that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested under Motor Vehicle Act section185 for driving under the influence of alcohol and also for obstructing police officials in carrying out their duty and for abusing them.
