In an attempt to break a unique world record held by United Kingdom's Gareth Sanders, Daniel Sundar from Chennai ironed 2,100 garments in 101 hours.

Sanders holds a record of ironing for 100 hours continuously, which many across the world have tried to break a number of times. The previous ironing marathon record-holder was Australian Janette Hastings, who did 80 hours non-stop in 2012 and completed 1,157 items.
